Trotter’s Gate & Harrison Park Townhomes Development Updates

We reported back in July 2014 that several new developments were close to commencing here in our neighborhood: The redevelopment of the U.S. Trotting Association site at 750 Michigan Avenue and the final phase of Wagenbrenner’s Harrison West Condominium development, the Harrison Park Townhomes.

Trotter’s Gate

According to a report from ColumbusUnderground, the developer, Snyder Barker Investments, and their partners closed on the Trotting Association property last week, and construction will begin very soon. The new development—dubbed “Trotter’s Gate”—could be complete as early as summer 2015 according to Jason Snyder of Snyder Barker. For more information, visit ColumbusUnderground.

Harrison Park Townhomes

We just received word from a Wagenbrenner Development representative on the Harrison Park Townhomes timeline. Approval by city council of the variances required for the project is pending; council will discuss the variance requests in about 6 weeks. Wagenbrenner Development already has approval for the architectural drawings and has building permits to begin construction, which is projected for late October, weather permitting.
