SWACO Sponsors Campaign Sign Recycling Event

The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio wants to help Central Ohioans clean up after this election. On Nov. 10, 2012 – the first Saturday after the election – SWACO will sponsor a post-election recycling event which will ensure that the scores of campaign signs and promotional material can be recycled. The event will be held at the Franklin County Veterans Memorial on Nov. 10, 2012, from 8 a.m. until noon.

Participants are asked to pull into Veterans Memorial at the light and follow the signs. They will not need to get out of their vehicle. Like SWACO’s Household Hazardous Waste mobile collections, residents will only need to pull up and pop their trunk. SWACO staff will unload the signs and promotional material and ensure that all material is recycled properly.
