Overhaul of Harrison West Park Is Underway

If you haven’t wandered by Harrison West Park at the corner of Oregon and West 4th Avenues lately, you won’t know that the refurbishment of the park has begun. You may recall that plans for the overhaul were presented in an article on this website in August, 2015. Because the project is small, the city’s initial request for bids to do the work went unanswered. In 2016, the city reissued the call after bundling it with a few other small projects. The rebid got some attention, and we’re thrilled that the project is finally moving forward.

We estimate that the renovation will be completed in May, 2017.
