For the twelfth year, the North Market has gathered a collection of Ohio’s finest wineries to celebrate fine local cuisine and wine at the North Market Food & Ohio Wine Festival Presented by PNC. The festival will take place the weekend of July 12-14. Sponsoring organizations include PNC, Ohio Grape Industries, Ohio Lamb Jam, Master Clean, Ohio Magazine, Columbus Crave Magazine and Yelp Columbus.

The Food & Ohio Wine Festival will kick-off on Friday night with a special preview party from 7-10 p.m. Tickets to the event are $25 and include a commemorative wine glass, 20 tasting tickets (that are redeemable all weekend) and a $5 food certificate to spend with market merchants. Proceeds benefit the historic North Market. Columbus celebrities will serve as guest pourers for the wineries. Taking the stage Friday night to get the crowd dancing will be Blues Hippy (a Willie Phoenix production).

On Sunday we are excited to share the return of the Ohio Lamb Jam. Delicious, American raised lamb prepared by some of the top chefs in Ohio will be the feature of the Ohio Lamb Jam competition on July 14th. Attendees can stop by for free lamb samples and recipes, while watching these skilled chefs in action. The event begins at 12:00 p.m., as celebrity judges will evaluate the lamb dishes. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to stop by this family friendly activity to sample and learn about lamb. Additional activities include the Saturday Farmers Market and a Sunday marketplace featuring local artisans and Ohio Proud vendors.

“We will serve no Ohio wine until it’s time,” said Rick Wolfe, Executive Director of the North Market. “And the time is July 12-14 at the North Market. We are happy to host twenty-one of Ohio’s outstanding wineries at the North Market for a weekend of sampling, engaging with Ohio winemakers and, hopefully taking some of their fabulous vintages home.”
