Free Household Hazardous Waste Drop Off
SWACO is offering free drop-off events throughout Central Ohio for Franklin County residents, the first of which is this Saturday, April 5.
WHEN: Saturday, April 5th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
WHERE: Dublin Fleet Maintenance Bldg., 6351 Shier Rings Rd. in Dublin
Households generate a wide range of poisonous, dangerous, flammable, and corrosive products, including lawn chemicals, solvents, household cleaners, and pool chemicals. These materials should not be tossed out with household garbage, but should be taken to a mobile collection event or SWACO’s HHW facility located at 645 East 8th Avenue in Columbus.
There will be three more community household hazardous waste collection events:
Saturday, June 28 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.- City of Gahanna, 1031 Challis Springs Dr.
Saturday, Sept. 27 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.- City of Grove City, 3226 Kingston Ave.
Saturday, Oct. 4 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.- City of Westerville, 350 Park Meadow Rd.
