Soil and Water Conservation Talk, November 15, 2023

Kori Sedmak, Public Outreach Coordinator, will be speaking at the Harrison West Society Meeting on November 15 at 7 PM about the programs and services that Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District provides to urban residents. They hold an annual native tree seedling and plant sale, they give discounts on rain barrels, and more! She can answer questions how to improve soil quality and conserve water on your landscape.

Our guest speaker works closely with government, non-profit and general public partners to promote responsible land use decisions for the conservation, protection and improvement of soil and water resources. Kori received her BS in Evolution & Ecology from The Ohio State University and worked as a Naturalist prior to joining the Franklin Soil and Water team. She is currently Board President of the Columbus Chapter of the National Audubon Society and a volunteer at the Ohio Wildlife Center where she cares for and educates the public on birds of prey.

We hope you can join us at the Thrive Common Area (515 West 5th Ave) to learn about what the Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District has to offer us.
