Nothing Is Happening Yet!

Battelle is finalizing its agreement with the company that will develop the property south of West 5th Avenue. The developer is not close to beginning construction, but residents may notice activity on the site. Battelle has asked us to get the word out about what residents will be seeing in the next few weeks.

First, some line painting and drilling will be performed on the property this week. This activity concerns the geo-technical drilling that is needed to measure the soil density. It does not represent the beginning of actual construction.

Second, residents may notice caution tape and vehicles moving around the parking lot south of West 5th. Battelle is testing some autonomous vehicle technology, and this activity is entirely unrelated to the sale or development of the land.
