Natural Gas Line Upgrade Progress Update

As of July 18, 2025: Main Line – 91% Complete. Service Line – 67% Complete.

Main line crews have a small portion to finish up in the Bradley Street area — about 1,000 ft of main line. In total, it should take from a week to two weeks to install this portion of main line (weather and resource permitting). Once completed, all main line on the project will be in the ground.

Service line crews continue to follow behind where main line was previously installed. Service line crews have been in the West Third and Oregon area along with Harrison and West Second and Oregon/Michigan areas. Multiple service line crews are working efficiently through the remaining services but also coordinating with each individual property owner and their schedule.

If there are any questions about service line scheduling or meter placement, you’re more than welcome to reach out directly. Otherwise, crews will need access to your property for one day to install a new service line and potentially relocate your meter. You are able to work with them on meter location provided multiple locations are permissible. Service will be restored same day unless there are safety issues found with any interior house lines or appliances.

Restoration is following behind both main and service line work. Where both have been completed, crews are able to begin the grass restoration process. Please note the netting placed over the seed is biodegradable, safe for lawn mowers, and is meant to protect and promote grass growth. There are also brick crews relaying brick that was taken up during the installation process.

As we move along through the last phase of this project, we greatly appreciate your collaboration and patience as this critical infrastructure upgrade project is completed. We understand the disruption and strain that any construction project has on the day-to-day life of those who live in the area, and greatly appreciate your partnership.  As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
