Bulk Collection Service Changes

In an effort to curb and discourage illegal dumping, and to increase service efficiency to city residents, the Department of Public Service Division of Refuse Collection has enacted minor changes to our bulk service collection. The enacted changed are listed below. For items residents wish to dispose of themselves outside of bulk service collection, weekly refuse collection, curbside recycling and yard waste please click here to view the available disposal facilities in Franklin County.
1. Bags, boxes, storage tubs, luggage and/or open containers that are filled with trash will not be collected
2. Empty storage tubs, luggage, as well as plastic or metal trash containers/cans will be collected
3. Empty boxes should be broken down and placed out for the resident’s scheduled curbside recycling
4. Bags and/or boxes of trash must be placed inside the resident’s designated refuse container
5. Carpet from multi-family units (5 or more units) will not be collected
