Third Avenue and Edgehill Road Improvements
The City of Columbus and private utility companies have completed plans for improving West Third Avenue and Edgehill Road immediately west of Olentangy River Road. The project will be done in three phases with the following schedules, subject to change due to weather conditions. No work will be done on the railroad bridge at this time.
July –October 2012 – Private utility companies
Third Avenue between Edgehill Road and railroad viaduct immediately west of Olentangy River Road Underground utility work will be performed by American Electric Power, Columbia Gas and a communication conduit bank will be installed for Time Warner, AT&T, WOW, XO Communications and Quest:
o Short-term partial and full road closures expected
August – January 2013 – Department of Public Utilities
Third Avenue between the Olentangy River and the railroad bridge west of Olentangy River Road Install new 60-inch storm sewer along north side of Third from railroad bridge to outfall at river:
o Lane restrictions on northbound and southbound Olentangy River Road while in the intersection
o Third Avenue closed once west of Olentangy River Road Add new sanitary sewer along south side of Third from railroad bridge to immediately west of Olentangy River Road
o Third Avenue closed
