Harrison West’s “Night Out”
Harrison West neighbors turned out in large numbers for our installment of National Night Out, when neighborhoods across the nation host events to promote involvement in crime-prevention activities, police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. There was no official number, but in the neighborhood of 70 Harrison Westers made it out for the event organized by the Harrison West Society. (Many thanks to society social chair, Stephanie Dougherty.) The evening included plenty of bagel sandwiches from Jeremy at Bagel Street Deli, ice cream from Jeni’s, pancake balls from Katalina’s and a number of raffle items from local businesses. Local police officers stopped by throughout the evening and were really impressed with the Harrison West turnout. Most importantly, our neighborhood got a little closer and became a little stronger as neighbors engaged with one another throughout the evening.
Once again, thank you to our generous donors and participating businesses: Bang Studios, Caffé Apropos, Jeni’s, Car2Go, Zeno’s, Katalina’s, Ken Wightman-Prudential American Realty Center, Short North Bagel Deli and Spinelli’s.
Here are a few pictures from the evening. More can be found on our Facebook page at: http://www.Facebook.com/HarrisonWestSociety
