Natural Gas Line Upgrade Progress Update

As of September 30, 2025, about 80 feet of main line on West First Avenue just west of Perry Street and four service lines remain to be finished.  Columbia Gas is still in the process of retiring the old system and the last part of it will be retired once all of the new system is installed.

Hard surface restoration is continuing throughout the neighborhood. Expect to see the bricks being relaid and concrete being repoured. The entirety of it should be finished by the end of October — weather and resource permitting.

Soft surfaces and landscaping are following behind the hard surface work. Be on the lookout for Agroscapes, who is the landscape contractor for this work. They are also anticipating a completion date by the end of October, pending on the finishing of hard surfaces such as sidewalks and curbs.
