Harrison West Society Meeting – March 19, 2025

Please join us at 7:00 pm on March 19 for the next Harrison West Society Meeting. The Harrison West Society meets on the third Wednesday of the month and these meetings are open to the public. We will meet in the Skyview Lounge inside Harrison on 5th, 579 West 5th Ave, Columbus, OH 43021.  This new location has parking garage off West 5th Ave with direct access to building. Please check in first at the front desk for directions to the meeting space.  

Thrive Companies will be presenting their Rezoning application #Z25-007 and Council Variance application CV24-001 (531 West Fifth Ave) at the March 19 meeting. Thrive Companies is proposing to rezone the townhome and flat style buildings in the area to allow apartments into that space.  Please note the Council Variance application is lengthy because it includes past variances granted for the original development. The new variances being proposed only include Subareas D, D-1, and D-2, which are listed near the end of the document CV24-001 (531 West Fifth Ave). We will review the materials and hold a vote on whether or not to approve the new variances and rezoning being requested in the following month (April 16).  The result of the vote will be returned to the city of Columbus for its review and discussion.
