Volunteering The Harrison West Society operates solely with volunteers. We need persons to be members and become active by volunteering for activities which are needed by the neighborhood or the Society and are endeavors that you enjoy. This experience may make you want to get involved with other aspects of your community, such as local politics or advocating for programs you believe are important. Volunteering doesn’t just change you — it transforms communities. You may be able to find your purpose through volunteering and becoming part of something greater than yourself. For instance, if you’re retired, unexpectedly unemployed or have lost a loved one, helping others can give your life new meaning and keep you mentally stimulated.
