Downtown Columbus Grand Illumination

Join Mayor Michael B. Coleman for the Grand Illumination of Bicentennial Park, the Scioto Mile Promenade, City Hall and Columbus Commons, where nearly 200,000 lights will light up downtown streets. The lighting ceremony will take place on December 2 at Bicentennial Park. Activities start at 5PM, and the ceremony starts at 6PM.

Enjoy holiday carolers, street performers, free carousel rides and a special appearance by Santa, from 5PM to 8PM. Complimentary hot beverages and holiday sweets will be available in Bicentennial Park and Columbus Commons.

A walking tour will be led by Mayor Coleman and Santa, departing from Bicentennial Park, strolling along the Promenade, past the Lazarus Building window displays and concluding at Columbus Commons.
