Battelle Finalizes Agreement with Wagenbrenner Development

Battelle has finalized an agreement with Wagenbrenner Development to sell its Harrison West properties. Wagenbrenner presented initial plans for the properties to the executive committee of the Harrison West Society on February 1, 2017. The plans include a boutique hotel, a restaurant, and office space or a grocery store as well as apartments and single-family homes. At the request of the society, the plan preserves most of the existing green space and adds additional parkland in the form of an expanded green corridor along the Olentangy Recreation Trail. Images of the proposed development are included below. Battelle and the developer expect to close the sale in late 2017 with construction slated to begin in spring 2018. The plan is to build the entire development at one time rather than in phases. Wagenbrenner is seeking community input before finalizing details of the plan. They will present their proposal to the full body of the Harrison West Society and will answer questions at the upcoming society meeting at 7 p.m. on Feburary 15, 2017 in the Harrison Park Condos Community Center.
